The Fool Proof Way for ANY Parent to Help Their Kid Play Better Baseball in Just 18 Minutes a Day (Even If You Don't Have ANY Baseball Experience!)
Are you sick of watching your kid disappear in the dugout?
Is your kid sick of getting lost in the lineup?
Do you have a kid who’s just starting baseball or a kid who came to travel ball late?
Are you a NON-BASEBALL parent or a beginning baseball parent who's thinking - how can I possibly help my kid get better at baseball when I know NOTHING about the game myself?
Can you spare 18 minutes a day to help your kid get better?
Then read on - because we’re talking to you!
We're Carrie and JR Kimmell and we're on a mission to empower parents to help their kids get better on the ball field.
When JR started playing baseball for the first time at age 10 - he had ZERO experience.
And once he joined a team - it became evident that he had a TON of ground to cover to catch up with his teammates.
Pretty quickly - I realized it was going to take more than lessons, practices, and games for him to fill that gap.
And so I decided to start working with him.
But let me tell you something about me...
I HAD ZERO BASEBALL EXPERIENCE.
But once we got started I realized - helping your kid get better at baseball is way less complicated than most people think.
And you do NOT need to be a baseball expert to help your kid.
Because here's what you can do.
You can help your kid get in the reps.
You can help your kid work on the small details.
You can help your kid build muscle memory.
And that my friend - is something ANY parent can do.
Anyhow, after I began working with JR consistently - things began to take off.
His progress caught the attention of his coaches and teammates almost immediately.
He went from being the last kid in the line-up and spending a LOT of time in the dugout to consistently being in the first half of the line-up and rarely sitting out.
More importantly he was gaining confidence and having way more fun.
And from there things only got better.
In fact in one weekend - we were approached by three different coaches to ask if he would join their teams.
And that’s when we got the idea to create a program to show other parents that YOU don't have to be an expert or a super athlete or have a ton of extra time to help your kid get better at baseball.
Introducing...
The 10 Days to Better Baseball Challenge for ANY Parent with a Baseball Crazed Kid (even if you have ZERO baseball experience)
We built this to empower ANY parent (even parents with NO baseball experience) to help their baseball crazy kid get better at baseball and beyond.
We’ll take you through fun baseball basics and fundamentals that ANY parent can do in just 18 minutes a day.
PLUS all these exercises can be done without fancy equipment or a batting cage.
So how does this thing work?
Monday through Friday for the next 10 days you'll receive a simple daily email with a lesson and activity in it. (We give you weekends off for catch-up or extra practice).
Open the email.
Read the lesson.
Watch the video.
Then get your kid and do it. It's that simple!
So here's what you and your kid will learn:
How to improve your kid's swing with tee work that ANY parent can help with
Pitching basics for the beginner and how YOU can help your kid perfect their pitch
Exercises to improve glove technique and why this matters
How to help your kid work on base running no matter where you are (and without doing any running yourself)
Fielding exercises that ANY parent can master
Side toss for parents to keep you out of the swing zone and get your kid swinging at a moving ball
4 basic exercises to increase speed and agility
Drills to improve your kid's fast twitch reaction time (without you needing to be a super athlete)
A weekly training plan to keep you and your child on track long term (so you reach that 100 hours per year)
Mindset shifts to set you and your child up for success
And much, much more!!!
Now you may be wondering - does this REALLY work?
Well - we think so because it's worked for us. But here's some words from some of the coaches and parents who have players and parents that have gone through our program:
"As a baseball coach, I wish more parents would do this. We don't have time to cover all these details or individual reps in team practices. In team practices we need the kids to show up ready to play. And the kids who consistently work with their parents on these exercises show up solid in their fundamentals and ready to play." - J.A. (Coach)
"I had a kid on my team who started this program during the off-season. When he came back in the spring, it was like meeting a completely different player. The kid changed not only his entire game, but his confidence grew too. He went from one of the most inexperienced players on our team to one of the most valuable players in the lineup." - T.H. (Coach)
"The material in The 10 Days to Better Baseball Challenge is good, solid information for the beginning baseball parent. It's easy to follow for someone who doesn't know baseball but has enough depth to make a real difference for a kid who wants to get better." A.C. (Coach)
"My son loves baseball but when he joined a travel ball team he had very little experience. I related to this program because I didn't have any baseball experience either. So we gave it a go. If you're willing to work the course, you and your child will get better. And you'll have fun along the way!" -A.A. (Parent)
Is this program meant to replace lessons or an instructor?
NO! This program is meant to supplement what your child is learning in lessons and/or with their team coach.
This program will help your child get valuable repetitions in all the basics and give them the time and space to pay attention to details. The goal is that they develop better basics and muscle memory so that they can show up to practices and games more prepared, with more confidence, and ultimately have the ability to perform at a higher level (if that's their goal).
Why is the course delivered through email?
Because it's simple, effective and will help keep you on track. And we're all about getting actual results here. We recommend you keep a dedicated folder in your inbox for this program so you can easily reference any and all of it at any time.
Why 18 minutes a day?
Because 18 minutes a day adds up to 100 hours per year. And the 100-hour rule says that you can become better than 95% of people in your discipline if you put in 18 minutes a day. Of course you can do more and of course we're going to be covering more than one skill in this program. But you'd be surprised how small, consistent blocks of time lead to big progress over just a couple months.
How old should my kid be to get started?
You want your kid to be old enough to engage and want to do the work. All these exercises can be done on low or high power or somewhere in between. Kids as young as 4 or 5 could start these exercises at lower speeds and power and work their way up over time.
Our son started playing baseball at age 10 and had a LOT of catching up to do. My goal is to grow with him so I can continue to support the development of his skills over time.
What if I don't have time?
I get it. I'm super busy too. And even if it's only 18 minutes a day - it's still setting aside time, doing a little set-up, and doing the work. Here's some ideas that might help you squeeze the time out of your day:
- Have your child do the set-up and clean-up for the day's activity (which is minimal)
- Have an honest conversation with your child about your work and time committments. Explain that for you to give time to their activity - they'll need to give time back to your committments.
For example ours sons are in charge of dishes and putting laundry away. This has been a great way to teach them the value of time while still making time to spend with them.
- Try setting aside a specific time to practice each day. Building regular practice into your routine makes it easier to stick to over time.
What equipment do I need to start?
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 glove for your kid
- 1 glove for you (neither need to be fancy)
- 2 baseballs (if you have more that will be helpful for some exercises - but not necessary)
- 1 bat
- 1 tee (with the ability to adjust the height)
- 1 baseball practice net (an example net is behind us in the image below)
- (not required but helpful) - 1 tennis ball and 1 tennis racket
What if I don't have a yard or a place to practice?
No problem! First - there are several drills that can be done in a small space. Second - do you have access to a nearby park, gym, or community space? Do you have a basement? There are lots of creative spaces that can be used to practice the micro-skills we're covering in this course. Don't let lack of a space stop you from figuring it out.
What if I don't have any baseball experience?
Then this program is perfect for you. I literally had ZERO baseball experience when JR began his baseball journey. If your kid takes lessons or is on a team - pay attention to what their instructor or coach is saying. You'll pick up more than you think along the way.
But more importantly - you don't need to know the rules of baseball to help your kid improve their technique and athletic ability. You don't have to have exceptional (or even good) baseball skills yourself to help your kid get better. This program is about empowering both you and your kid so you can make progress together. If you keep at it consistently - you'll be surprised how quickly your own skills develop as a training partner.
What if I'm not athletic?
What?!?! You're not a super athlete??? Just kidding. Many parents think they need to be athletic to help their kids in athletics. But it's simply not true.
As we've mentioned above - if you can roll a ball on the ground, make a short throw, and catch some balls - you'll be just fine.
But here's the other thing - you can look at this time with your child as a workout for you too. Who cares if you drop the ball? A few extra steps chasing it is an investment in your health too. I've purposed to use JR's baseball training as cross training for myself.
When you feel like you're getting something out of the practice time too - you're more likely to stay committed to it with your kid as well.
So what's the investment?
Let's be honest. This is about a lot more than baseball. This about building a healthy relationship with your kid and supporting them in something that's important to them.
When we take the time to truly SEE and honor what's important to our kids - they know.
And when we give them something to strive for - we become co-facilitators of their dreams.
We've packed in 18 months of lessons, instruction, and coaching into an easy-to-follow and simple-to-implement structure that ANY parent can follow.
Plus we've worked with professional coaches to ensure we're providing time-tested and proven techniques and exercises.
The information in here alone is probably worth $2000-3000.
But we're not going to charge you that.
Because we're committed to getting parents and kids started on a baseball journey and beyond.
So this week you can get started today for just $99.
Yes - that's it.
No more talking about it.
Jump on in and we'll see you on the diamond.
Go through the full 10 days of the challenge and if you aren't satisfied - let us know and we'll refund your full investment.
